We’re looking for an eagle-eyed person passionate about composing words effectively yet beautifully. It’s an art and science at the same time. You’ll be at the heart of our creative process, concepting ideas and copywriting and collaborating with designers, strategists, and other departments. Assisting all departments with copywriting. It’s just like a pendulum back and forth, keeping the perfect harmony. 

Responsibilities

You’ll contribute to projects across campaign creation, advertising, and other creative challenges. Our work spans the digital and physical. We may call you to work across a range of creative disciplines and deliverables. 

Owning the product descriptions process from beginning to end, acting as a genuine tone of voice guardian for the brand, and keeping our product copy accurate, relevant, and on-brand.

Make time to research and browse the current brands’ competitors and build critical relationships within the business to improve our copy.

Assisting the Creative Team in content creation. Providing copy visuals, taglines, and other creative assets.

Assisting the Social Media team and Content Editor with any copy requirements for social media channels (Captions, Headline, Tagline).

Contributing to the team by bringing new and innovative ideas to the table, researching competitors and other aspirational brands, and ensuring we keep on top of the latest trends in fashion & marketing.

Assisting Marketing and Digital Marketing in any other writing tasks, including paid ads & banners, meta-descriptions, and other ad hoc projects.

Providing all kinds of writing, from copywriting to content writing. From product naming to writing journals. You’ll inspire creative teams to be brave. And you’ll create work that creates change.

Qualifications

You’ll love the craft of language, but we’re looking for big thinkers. Comfortable with concepts, headlines, as well as more detailed product copy.

You write with impeccable spelling and grammar and have an excellent grasp of the Hijack Sandals tone of voice.

You’re not only able to meet deadlines, but you also work flexibly, taking each day as it comes and juggling conflicting priorities by staying organized managing expectations, and balancing long-term projects.

You take ownership of your responsibilities, work collaboratively, always make your voice heard in meetings, share, and ask for others’ input.

You have a growth mindset questioning process to ensure your time is used efficiently.

SEO knowledge would be an advantage but not essential
