Last Friday (October 30) marked the launch of The Kitchener’s Route—a collaboration project with eclectic bar-and-grill Set N Rise. To celebrate the launch, Set N Rise came up with a special set menu, and we were invited to try it. When we got there at 4, the place was already pretty packed—only the outdoor seats were left. In the kitchen, the cooks were busy preparing orders—grilling various types of yakitori (Japanese skewers) and filling glass cups with oolong tea. They were wearing Kawa, the closed-toe sandals released for the project. The distinctive silhouette of the sandals somehow seemed at home with the warm wood interior of the space.

As the sun set, more people showed up, and the bar was suddenly filled to the brim. People were chatting and bonding over good food and drinks. Beats were playing in the background for the guests, and before the night ended, renowned DJ Ngangah took over the deck to play more feel-good tunes. Check out the pics from the lively night!
