Auction

For Reimagining Pristine—a program where we engage consumers and different entities to recreate our less-than-pristine Pristine sandals—we collaborated with Bluesville and House of Jealouxy, who elevated the sandals with their signature looks. Three sandals were ‘reimagined’ in total: Bluesville turned a pair of Manic Pristine a stunning blue color with their indigo dye and fabrics, while HOJ added beautiful glass and metallic beads onto a pair of Alto Pristine and a pair of Manic Pristine. The sandals were then auctioned on our Instagram page from April 13th-15th and garnered quite some attention from our followers, who bid for the pairs in the comment section of each auction post. Over 130 bids were received before we closed the auction at 18:00 on April 15th.

Through the auction, we raised a total amount of Rp4.425.000—all donated directly by the auction winners to Yayasan Visi Maha Karya for their Tuna Daksa program, where they provide prosthetic legs to individuals who need them most and who might not be able to afford them otherwise.

Special shoutout to Yayasan Maha Visi Karya for their great program. We definitely look forward to more opportunities to engage the community like this one!

Workshop

On April 15, 2023, we hosted Reimagining Pristine, a workshop where people could unleash their creativity on ex-display Pristine sandals with the help of mentors from Komunitas Merajut Bandung and Terikat ITB. The event was conducted at Laswee Creative Space, Bandung, and attracted around 15 engaged participants eager to ‘reimagine’ their pair of Pristine through customizing the sandals with various handmade embellishments. Pristine is a colorway that we rarely put in the spotlight, despite having been there since its release in 2018. It had only come into the light last year when we released Shuffle, where Pristine became a blank canvas for every creation on the platform. Since then, Pristine sandals have been featured at some of our exhibitions, from “The Only Way Out Is Through” at L/S Space Bandung to the Shuffle showcase at Kala di Kalijaga Jakarta. As a result, some pairs of Pristine have come into various conditions where they cannot be redelivered to customers. Therefore, through ‘Reimagining Pristine’, we wanted to give the ‘no-longer’ Pristines a new life through engaging the community and deepening our relationship with customers, friends, and family.
