Melting Hues

To be in Bali is to be struck by its vibrancy—awash in the melting hues of our skin, lush paddies, tangerine sky, and white waves glistening softly on the shore.
This island is where we blend into each other—where people of different backgrounds and different dreams merge into a stream. And it was a dream of ours to fuse into this big, gorgeous pot when we first opened here in 2019. That spirit hasn’t faded, and now, we’re pleased to welcome you to our new home in Canggu, one of the island’s liveliest hubs.
To commemorate this milestone, our creative team came up with a collaborative artwork screen printed by the renowned Bali-based printmaking studio Black Hand Gang. The piece will be showcased at our stores and Canggu’s postmodern happiness portal Club Soda starting on December 3.
What shades will paint our days here, and what picture will emerge in the end? Only time will tell. Until then, let’s savor the melting hues.

This is the final artwork collected from all the different artworks.
To create this artwork, five individuals came together to give their piece of the collective human experience through digital creations derived from various means—creative coding, processed scanography, book-cover mockup, doodles, and a photo journal of a supermarket trip.
Prominent elements of each creation—human silhouettes, ripple waves, glyphs, handprints, and circles—were then taken to form a mash-up before being fed into DALL-E’s deep-learning system. What were previously separate ideas of a few heads were fused into unity by the algorithms.
This artwork attempts to capture the time we’re in—an era where we have just begun exploring how humans and machines can fit in together. The artists essentially did what humans have done since the beginning of time—unleashing creativity and leaving marks of their existence. Only instead of a cave wall, they got to work with artificial intelligence—itself a product of human imagination.
As a final human touch, the artwork was screen printed by Black Hand Gang.
